
Dr. Jason Geddes is Environmental Services Administrator, City of Reno, Trustee of NIREC, and Chair of NIREC’s TCAB.
Jason is the environmental services administrator for the City of Reno where he oversees the green initiative, including energy efficiency and renewable energy. He is currently serving as vice chair of the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents. He has served as chair of the Nevada Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Task Force.
Previously, Jason served as the state petroleum chemist and chaired the Fuel Standards Environmental Coordination Committee. As environmental affairs manager for the University of Nevada, Reno, he created and supported the Energy & Environment Committee. Jason also served in the Nevada State Assembly and has assisted in the drafting and passage of several bills dealing with renewable energy and fuel-related issues.
Jason received his B.S in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in environmental sciences and health from the University of Nevada, Reno.
