While these are challenging times for the global economy the energy industry is thriving, as federal agencies and investors seek out technologies and opportunities with promising futures. In the coming decades, clean energy — solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal and biomass technologies — are intended to form the cornerstone of many U.S. economies, and private investors and federal agencies alike will search for inventive entrepreneurs to help with research and development, including research and development related to energy.

Conference registration is $395 by Sept. 15, 2009 ($495 after Sept. 15), which includes conference breakout sessions and meetings, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks each day. The conference begins at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, and runs through noon, Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. Optional pre- and post-conference breakout sessions are available Nov. 2 and Nov. 5 for additional fees. Participants are responsible for lodging, travel arrangements and costs.
Sparks is located east of the University of Nevada, Reno campus and 15 minutes from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport.
