NIREC awards up to $150,000 to support the pre-commercialization of clean energy technologies. Calls for proposals are announced two times per year.
NIREC's funding and services are focused on:
- Technology Development
- Pre-commercialization
- Business Planning
Funds are awarded competitively via a stringent review process conducted by NIREC's Technology Commercialization Advisory Board. Selected projects are expected to fully engage in the EiR Program and aspire to the development of a well grounded and compelling Business Package. A Business Package is a set of documents that sets the stage for taking the technology to the next level.
