The Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization (NIREC) is structured as a public-private partnership consisting of a consortium of research institutions, utilities and other energy producers, energy distributors & users, corporations and venture capital organizations.

NIREC combines the talent and resources of our staff, affiliated research, corporate and public institutions, and private enterprise to accelerate the widespread deployment and adoption of renewable energy solutions.

NIREC is hosted by the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nevada on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe.
